House of Hops was born not too long after my first sip of an IPA, I remember trying very hard to relate to the fruits I have tried. “Yes the bitterness is like polo skin (pomelo)”, and that very first sip led us to this journey. We never looked back and couldn't have stopped even if I tried. Throughout this journey, we've always been focused on spreading the love for good beer. The market that time was very different and alot more scattered from what it is now, and we sought to bring in the best we could. As part of the journey of introducing beers, we even embarked on 10 different food and beverage events in a year in various locations, meeting and introducing beer to various different people, enhancing the craft beer experience, and paving the way for "by geeks for geeks".
During these 7 years of our existence, there were various hurdles in the way, with the recent pandemic of course being one of them, and tiny stumblings here and there as well. But we've never wavered in our mission to bring in good beers for the beer lovers.
And now, it's time for our first outlet opening to continue our journey on a different level but with the same mission- to enrich the craft beer culture here in Malaysia.
Why now? Maybe it’s the ‘seven year itch’?
Jokes aside, it's about connecting the brewery experience to the beer culture here. We envision a place dedicated to the art of craft, where craft beer drinkers can meet fellow drinkers, and bring the community together. It's a place for new drinkers to discover craft through engaging conversation. A place to showcase our dedication to the craft beer industry here in Malaysia, and honor the beer culture. Circle of life must be fulfilled and it all came from the love at first sip!
